Poison — Zoffany

Zoffany

Inspirited by the exquisite patination of oxidised copper Verdigris is a striking green hue. The name derives from the historical Verdigris paint. At the end of the 18th century this original pigment was a popular paint colour and appreciated by many including George Washington but it was found to be poisonous due to the white lead within its mixture. Now translated into Zoffany paints this colour has a smooth velvety appearance.
